I found these next t each other in the parking lot... an odd color variation. I wonder what that's about
I looked around on the internet for a minute to see what "ec" stands for, and found nothing. I even looked at Prius and Rav 4 tail - image, and not a single example
Not 100% sure but I googled it and came up with this possible answer.
What is Eco Mode?
The term “Eco Mode” actually stands for the economical mode in the car. With its button on the left of the steering wheel, its function is to alter the certain features of the car mechanically. It is mainly used while driving so that maximum miles can be covered with a gallon of gas or a liter of fuel.
Technically, it inhibits the performance of transmission and engine, by reducing the throttle response in favor of fuel economy. Consequently, the acceleration of the vehicle becomes less responsive and leads to less fuel consumption.
Hey Jesse. The yellow "EC" badge, on any Toyota in the SD area, was bought at Toyota El Cajon. They place them on all their new vehicles. Goofy as all get out!
