and a lot of attendees have had to wonder, would going to Detroit in January mean getting stuck there when airlines couldn't fly out on time due to weather?
Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volvo are among the major automakers that don't go to Detroit anymore. Porsche in fact has pulled out twice in the past decade. Michigan has one of the lowest penetration rates for cars sold by internationally flagged automakers.
