this '66 bug has been sitting for 21 years. That's incredible. Why would anyone store a good bug for 21 years and never drive it or sell it?

    This appears to be a standard bug.
    No chrome trim, no chrome blinker light caps, only 1 horn cover in front fender.
    No gasgauge and just a 3-spoke stearing wheel.
    The chrome mirrors, chrome bumpers, radio and mudflaps must have been added by the owner.
    A bare minimal car that saves the buyer in 1966 a couple of 100,- to a normal VW bug.
