Going by what I read here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolls-Royce_Armoured_Car - the Fordson armoured car is a Rolls-Royce with a new chassis (whether that means engine/gearbox as well I can't say). The other armoured cars in those pictures are all Rolls-Royces. I have always presumed that there were no more new ones built after 1917, they were just rebuilt and updated.
ReplyDeleteAll I got to go by is the source, and only the first source said they were Fordson, the rest named the place and year, not the vehicle. They all look similar enough to be the same make and model, with variation between users and years. Thanks for your research!
