I'm in love... with this tow truck. Someone really oughta tell models to get off the cars and out of the photographers way so we can admire the vehicle.
A Ford C-600 from Kingman Arizona, 1958... that is a cool looking COE wrecker right there
The good old Ford 'C' Series! Cool find! Not that many wreckers on this chassis.
The C Series was, however, one of the most prolific commercial chassis, if not THE most prolific commmercial chassius used by fire apparatus manufacturers. THOUSANDS of Ford C-Series fire rigs of all typoes were built by literally every apparatus manufacturer.
There was also a Mack that used the exact same Budd built cab as the Ford 'C'...the Mack 'N' Model...a much rarer bird than the Ford 'C', with 1950 MAck 'N's built between 1958 and 1962 vs who knows how many Ford 'C's built between 1957 and 1990.
