The two dials labeled "Dufaux-Repusseau" are for adjusting the dampers on the shocks for various conditions (i.e., city, highway, country). Beautiful automobile. Thanks for posting.
I'm pretty sure those dials are for adjusting the front and rear shock absorbers. I think Bugatti used the same or similar. And that geometric abstract interior is tres chic.
thanks! Wow, adjustable shocks, from inside the car, in the 1930s... that is astonishing! Did you see the post from a couple years ago where someone found some unused original Paul Poiret upholstery fabric? I can't remember where I posted it exactly, but they found the red, the black, and the blue
my old peugeot had manual adjustment of distributor on the dash board; don't know why two knobs but 'avance/arrette' = advance and retard timing maybe?
