the "dead cat bounce" phrase meant that even a dead cat bounces once, and a bad situation may have a temporary relief when there seems to be hope, but isn't. That seems to be the issue with old Catalina planes

  1. Thanks for posting those. Catalina is one of my all-time favorite aeroplane (or flying boat). I think Catalina is incredibly beautiful.

    1. You're welcome... darn shame it costs too much to restore an airplane. Did you see the story a year or two ago about the one that was flown around the world from Africa to the USA when a collector here in San Diego bought it?
