Beginning this Friday, 16 states will join forces for the I-80/I-35 Challenge, Border-to-Border Traffic Safety Initiative from California to New Jersey and Texas to Minnesota

Is there some reason they do a once a year blitz? If the reason they do a blitz is important, then why aren't they doing it every day? Too busy eating donuts?

If what they do the other 362 days a year is so important, why not stick to it, and not harrass traffic on an annual basis?
