It is amazing to read the text in these brochures...foam padded seating seemed like a big deal. I guess it is better than the wooden church pews we had in cars before. Glove Box locks, cigarette lighters, etc. I can imagine the list on a new Hyundai would be immense in comparison. We stopped listing all the "basics" in ads a long time ago. Great post...love to see the old stuff!
Jesse, what ever happened to that 3-D Super Bee we see on the 16th page of this brochure??? That is just wild. SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE has that toy. JESSE, INVESTIGATE!!! ;)
I asked around, no one has ever seen one. I've got one other image of that plush toy, and no one had ever seen it either. But investigate? Well, I just went through the Scat Pack brochures, and it does not show up in anything else, it's only a part of the 1969 Dodge Full Line up brochure. So someone had it for just that one photo shoot. If we want one, we will have to make them ourselves. Why no one has went into business making them is a mystery. But how many can be sold at a good price and profit compared to the time and expense of making them?
That was just a tease Jesse. I know you are busy and I'm glad you have a little time to post this "cool stuff" here on JACG. Regarding the fat tired bee, looks like it might have been constructed out of fiber glass and was made specifically for the Dodge division for promotional reasons. What I'm thinking is that if someone has that very cool item stashed somewhere, they have a real holly grail of automobilia. :)
Me too, If I don't post it here, well.... no one else posts here. Just me. Fiber glass? Huh... you might be right... if anyone has it it's in the Juliano collection http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2008/11/steven-juliano-collection-im-betting.html

DeleteOh, and I don't investigate. I have a full time job, and this site I do in my spare time. When would I do any investigating?
