Chris Hilyard grill is different, 69 hood has removable "lip" under front that can be removed to make it appear 68
David LaPlant Jr. I may buy a 68. I like the 69 Grill better. can I just change the headlight grill parts, or gotta change it all?
- Chris Hilyard you can see I had the front lower part of hood off at one point. Fenders are different too, marker lights and grill attachment points.
Gerry Hine 68 fenders had round marker lights, whereas the '69's were rectangular reflectors only (not lighted)- David LaPlant Jr. seems to me if the hoods are the same, except the extra lip, that the grills will interchange. I know the marker lights are different. I am ok with that
- David LaPlant Jr. LOL....Heres food for thought..The used the 68 Coronet grills in the Charger 500. Seems you would be able to get a Charger grill in a 68 Coronet...lol
- Ronald Prater the 68 grill is a lot taller the hood is the same 69 has a strip on the frount lower the 69 head light bezels will not fit the 68 fender at all
Robyn N Bucky Adams I have a 69 hood on my 68 Coronet, therefore I have an extra "lip" that everyone here is refering to. It is in perfect condition, and I have no use for it. If anyone is interested in it...
