1948 Paris Auto Salon trophy winning Delahaye has been stored and neglected so long it looks like a barnfind, what a great diorama at the Mullin museum
I'm pretty sure there is only one Chapron Delahaye like this one and it sat in my parents garage in Tujunga from 1971 till 1975. We then moved to North Hollywood and brought the car with us and it sat in that garage until my Fathers death in 1976. It sat beside a BMW Veritas race car from some time in the late 40's early 50's. My Father was supposedly to restore both of these cars for a friend of his named Mike Vonaulthouse. I once actually took a spin with my Dad in the Delahaye and I was suprised at the performance it had. It looked almost exactly as these pictures, it still had it yellow headlights that still worked miraculaslee enough and it wasn't quite that dirty. So there is some missing history on the museum card.
