Hi, Jesse- thanks for the insight; I tracked the car down withhelp from the Checker Cab club on Facebook. The car, which resided in Newport Beach, now resides in my client's collection in Texas. (It truly is a cool piece!).
And no, no relation to the Bennetts of Michigan...my Bennett lineage originates from Oklahoma.
