I didn't know they used nitrous to get the Reno racing planes faster, or sprayed the radiators to cool them down better, thank you George!

Also, using Allison con rods, in the Merlin engine,

a supercharger designed for the later F-82 Twin Mustang with re-sculpted supercharger blades for superior performance

The engine is mounted with its angle of incidence up about one degree over that of a production Mustang, another calculated performance booster.

The heat exchanger in this Mustang is also a later design, from a P-51H Mustang.

Uses 160 octane gas

it turns out it's easy to make nitrous oxide, freaking dangerous as hell, they don't mention that

I was listening to a podcast https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-stuff-you-should-know-26940277/episode/the-texas-city-disaster-of-1947-79830003/  about the explosion at Texas City in 1947, that I posted a couple years ago, and they described the cargo in the ships the exploded, and it was Ammonium Nitrate, lots of it.

Something caught on fire on a ship, that heated up the ammonium nitrate, and it began breaking down into nitrous oxide. We all know how that helps other burning stuff burn more.

and, of course, there was just a ship load of explosive ammonium nitrate, in an enclosed, slightly pressurized cargo ship.

Ammonium nitrate when heated makes two things, Nitrous Oxide, and water vapor

CH3NO2

If you can find some company not out to rip you off, it's about 17 dollars a gallon when you buy it by the 55 gallon drum.

If you look on the internet and find it in 5 gallon or less containers, it's closer to 75 a gallon

Lets say for a moment that this actually IS NOS, and simply has a simple trigger handle to let it loose for ridiculous effect on this scooter

Am I right that unless they premix the NOS with some atmo, and it were to be shot into the carb with some sort of regulator that would allow only so many CFM per minute, that it would simply lean out and melt the piston?

I can't imagine anyone actually even taking the time to paint a fire extinguisher blue, and attaching it to a scooter, without a better plan than that.

Now, if they really did hook up a real NOS system to a scooter, safe, and ready to be used time and time again... that would be a hoot for racing your friends
