Hey Jesse, thanks for putting that up. Those drivers must have had balls of steel back then! 520hp. running those skinny tires! I don't think I've heard a more awesome sounding beast than this. There is video of it doing a hill climb through forest on youtube and the echoing sounds are unbelievable! imho. PS. I have cmc models of this and the grand prix car along with the type D which was down to a V12 but more grunt. Hard to imagine how hairy racing those things was.
Those Auto Union race cars must have blown people's minds in the 1930's. The mid-engine layout didn't come back in Grand Prix racing until the 1950's and early 1960's.
