My you're really hitting them today. When I was a kid we had a rowboat like this which I used on a local lake. About the only difference I can see is that ours did not have those lengthwise pieces between keel and gunwale. But the construction was the same, with smooth strip construction and a round bottom. It was tough and heavy, but, quite simply, the easiest and fastest row boat I've ever rowed. Whoever has that boat, I hope they find just the right oars (ours liked them a bit short) and plenty of sea room, because they're in for a treat.
