it's ridiculous that no one ever replaced the bumpstops on my R/T in 50 years

I will get to them soon. Not that my car gets a lot of air and suspension hard stop needs, but, dot he right thing. Replace the bad parts

  1. Recently I've replaced myself the shock absorbers of my old beetle. I was surprised to see that they were the original ones, from 1974!

    1. That's astonishing... I wonder, did they have any life left in them? I just replaced the shocks on my 69, and they were from the 70s https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2019/03/i-took-gas-tank-off-to-replace-float.html

    1. yup, I figure no one actually enjoys working on their cars, doing upkeep and improvements, and never notices that something has worn out.
I replaced the shocks, and can't tell the difference.

    2. You replaced your shocks, but why can't you notice any difference? You should notice the ride is less spongy.
