even though some methods will effectively accomplish the goal, they have dangerous side effects. So DON'T clean the gas station pump area with gasoline!
Water won't clean that gas station area around the pumps. If you think it does, I got 100 bucks to wager that you're wrong and I or you can prove it. DEGREASER, now, that will work. There are a lot of commercial grade solvents that will get the job done... but the oil and grime and crud from all the cars that drip stuff? All the liquids that a car leaks? Won't clean up with just water. They will with gasoline though.
On a cost basis alone Venezuela is probably the only place on earth where they'd still consider cleaning the pavement with gasoline. Despite hyperinflation everywhere else Venezuela's government has never increased the price of gasoline, so filling up a tank in Venezuela is still basically free.
I guess this dummy never heard of water?
