Had one in my V8 Vega. They truly were the Holy Grail of car stereos back in the day. I also had the runner up - the Craig Power-play, in my '66 Chevy 4x4.
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for 8 tracks. I was on my high school cross country team back in the '70's and did a lot of running up and down the local roads. One of the things I will always remember about it, was all the carcasses of old 8 track tapes littering up the gravel shoulders, along with what seemed like miles of unwound tape.

Wow, that was one guarantee with the 8 tracks, they would get ate by the machine.
