This update surveyed all of California’s 58 counties and 482 cities in 2014. The information captured data from more than 99 percent of the state’s local streets and roads – a level of participation that makes clear the local interest in addressing the growing problems of crumbling streets and roads.

Yet few people see the connection between paying taxes and having a decent infrastructure. Increasing the fuel tax, anyone?
ReplyDeleteand inflation has cut back the effective buying power of the fuel tax to the point where the 18 cents tax applied a decade or two ago is only as useful as a 9 cent tax today
