It was sent originally to Venezuela, then to the U.S. where it was competitive on its debut at Sebring. By 1959, it had been relocated to a Rambler dealership, with a seized differential!

I love this guy. He understands.
ReplyDeleteyup, a matter of fact Navy guy that was fortunate, and smart, to buy a Ferrari when they were dirt cheap, and still drives it 55 years later
DeleteDear Jesse,
ReplyDeleteThe day after the Petrolicious shoot I had a ball at Laguna Seca. Check out the shots at: http://tinyurl.com/jk7lg4m
Best regards,
RP
Thanks! Petrolicious did a beautiful job with the video, the imagery was superb. Compliments to you on your life with your Ferrari, and your Navy career. I went subs, crewed on two, and miss the guys in the Navy, most civilians just aren't quite as full of life and personality as people that you crew with in the military. Thanks for the note and the link! That watermark is quite a large and ugly way to mar the beauty of the car, and the grace is shows on the track. But that is a sweet set of thumbnails, it must have been a great day, as any day at the track is better than any day at the office
DeleteDear Jesse,
ReplyDeleteAppreciate your Navy service and I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment regarding our shipmates. When you are bored and nothing else to do there are hundreds of entries about the car at: http://tinyurl.com/juyhoms
With incredible stories like yours and so many others, I'll be busy, but I will pop over and look at that link!
