SAI fielded GT40 P1047 at Daytona in 1967.
It was driven by Foyt and Gurney and was in MKllb configuration. The Mercury livery was a one race occurence. P1047 completed many times in various paint schemes.

P/1047 was a Shelby American entry at this race and was not converted to MKII B specs until it was sent to Holman-Moody after this event.
A little known fact is that your friendly, local Lincoln-Mercury dealer would include the cardboard light covers free of charge with the purchase of your MKII:
