the info with the video says the Jeep was getting towed out of Walgreens at Clark and Ontario,
However, the driver did not appear to hear the man, who then started the Jeep and managed to pull free of the tow truck and drive away from the scene.
Workers with Protective Towing, the company identified on the side of the truck, declined to comment on whether the driver knew there was someone inside the Jeep and whether the vehicle was properly secured before managing to get free.

Any more behind this story? Surely the Jeep driver got in trouble, at the very least for damaging the tow truck.
ReplyDeleteDamage the tow truck? What damage? The tow driver had maxed out the lift, which did a high limit slap sounding like a 2000 pound hydraulic gun shot... but the Jeep didn't make any contact with the truck except tire tread to lift forks. What damage are you finding in this video? If the tow truck driver has damage to report, I'll be glad to add that to this post, but until then, it looks like a win for the Jeep driver. Unfortunately we don't have video from when the Jeep was picked up until the Jeep driver hopped into his Jeep. That was probably a loud enough argument to get multiple video recordings all going at once.
DeleteThe tow truck company is "Protective towing" and they did not comment to CBS news about this event, therefore, unless you have gotten a comment from them, we can't say there was any damage, and the Jeep is clearly visible on the video as not touching the truck except tire tread to lift fork
