That book is on my wishlist at Amazon.com... It hasn't been a higher priority than the other books I've wanted to read for fun yet. Good call though! Thanks for the compliment, how long have you been reading along?
Jess, you have a great collection of car books. I really get a kick out of the leather bound Automobile Engineering volume set you have. They look well weathered.
Js, they are, I got them individually from Ebay. I even looked through them... I believe I posted some of the stuff, they cover everything from Balcksmithing, building a garage and layout for business, casting Babbitt journal bearings, etc. They are very thorough.
I've known your blog for years, visiting occasionally, but only followed it every day for a couple of months (I'm a motorcycle guy, but always had a soft spor for drag racing). The Tom Wolfe book I found by accident at a flea market here in Denmark; having read 'The Right Stuff' and 'Bonfire of The Vanities' I knew it would be good.
Your bookshelf would be marginaaly more complete if you add Tom Wolfe's 'The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby'.
ReplyDeleteNice blog, I like it a lot.
