Yes, it certainly is a clean looking engine, free of wires, uncluttered. If it were smaller I could almost imagine it on a counter top as some kitchen appliance. It has a Deco look about it. I can appreciate this bike. Thanks for the picture.
Victoria was an ancient german manufacturer who is credited with the invention of the side-car in 1907. They also built a good looking car before WW1. Their motorcycle production was quite successful, albeit only sold in Germany. Their 350 cc 4-stroke V-2 Bergmeister (Hill climb champion) was designed by a Herr Küchen who was known for his overly complicated designs. He also designed their 250cc 2-stroke - a bullet proof engine. In the early 50´s they came out with a tremendously advanced 200 cc 2-stroke model called the Spring, which featured a futuristic frame and a fully electric transmission. THAT bike was developed by the engineer Riedel who had designed a 350 cc V2 2-stroke with electric starter in 1938 for the make Ardie and in 1948 he came out with the revolutionary bike called ¨IMME¨. Victoria went under when the entire german motorcycle and 2-stroke engine industry went inexlicably under in the early 1960´s.
