Is there a gif of this scene? I don't remember this being in the movie. Wonder if the bug they threw over board was recovered? Looks like it floats pretty good.
I don't know if there is, I bought the box set of Herbie movies. They're good. I doubt it, a used bug, the cost might have been a couple hundred dollars, versus the cost of recovery in order to do what... sell it to a junkyard for a couple bucks? Probably let it sink. Bugs did float really well right side up!
