Volvo station wagon from back when they looked like sports cars, before they became "Boxy but good" yuppie mobiles

taking off the front bumper, good looking idea
the Cragar rims help a lot too

  1. The P1800ES "shooting brake" started out as a '72 model and was produced for all of 2 years. The first of the "Boxy but good" Volvo 145 station wagons came out as a '68 model, and continued in production (later on as the face-lifted 245) through '93.

  2. I don't see this as "Boxy". Like it's brother, P1800S, this wagon has beautiful lines that make your eye move from front to back, and then to front again. It looked like a fun car to have and drive, and like the 'S' model, it probably handled well too.

A friend of mine had an 'S' model in junior and senior years in high school and he had a ball with it.

    1. I don't see it as boxy either... I'm not sure if I confused the point. I think it's sporty looking, and the box wagons are boring. this one is cool
