Some great photos from the 30s/40s from Randy

Brad did a little Googling and discovered it's a 1929-1941 era Sikorsky flying boat. Belonged to Inter-Island Airways in Hawaii


the #228 is an Opel Grand Prix with a 12.3 liter engine, 4-valves and 260 hp.

One of it's eras most victorious race cars, it won in 299 races. The car still exists and is nicknamed "The Green Monster"

The most gigantic automobile the company has ever made – the 12.3-liter “Opel Rennwagen”, also known as “Das grüne Monster”, the “Green Monster”.

 The revised 12.3-liter capable of propelling the 2000-kg “Monster” to a maximum speed of 228 km/h!

 Opel works racing driver, Carl Joerns, scored most of his victories in this magnificent car, especially in beach races on the Danish island of Fanø.
