It's been too long since I just enjoyed myself looking at cool stuff, instead of trying to put up 10-12 posts in a day so you all have some interesting stuff to browse through during coffee breaks, or, whatever it is that causes you to make time to see what I've posted lately... so there aren't 10-12 posts today, there are half as many as that, but they are just pleasant to look at.

Currently in production, "The Stunt Driver" has Ed Helms playing a brilliant car engineer brought on to design a rocket-powered vehicle for what may be the most dangerous stunt in history.

The film is based on the true story of Montrealer Carter, the “Mad Canadian” stunt driver who tried to jump the Saint Lawrence River in a rocket car in the mid-’70s. Ken’s dream was to end his 30-year career with a big jump, a big paycheck, and mega stardom. In the process of accomplishing it, he hired a big sports manager and enlisted the best in rocket car design

Helms brings great depth and heart to the man in charge of safety for this massive jump, an island of reason in a sea of insanity.

David Lozeau continues to surprise and amaze me... I had no idea he had a booth at Comic Con! Like last year finding him at SEMA, it's a great surprise to find him unexpectedly at a convention! (And he survived the Gilroy Garlic Festival massacre!)

It's quite a mental wrench to discover he was at the Gilroy Festival... when you think you're sure that no one you know was there, hey, the news sucks - but at least you know none of your friends and acquaintances were there, right? That's a sudden panic stop of the brain, damn! I just read the news about the animation studio in Japan getting hit, and the dozens injured and dead, including the Akira artist... it's been a fucked day for poking my head out and seeing the news.
