Dallas put cameras on garbage trucks to scan homes on the routes, to use AI to find code violations to raise revenue from fines
Dallas homes are now being "blight scored" by AI-powered cameras the city recently mounted on trash collection trucks to identify possible code violations, to raise funds via fines. Welcome to the new age of taxes

ReplyDeleteDallas use to be a great city to visit. My friend and I use to go to a underground Blues clube and drink beer. I have a number of other stories for you but will have to tell you about them later. George
ReplyDeleteTheres some towns in Florida that do this the old fashioned way, they pay the trash truck guy a bonus for ratting out a homeowner doing any unpermitted renovations. if theres any construction or home inprovement activity going on , the trash truck guys report the address and the city checkss to see if theres an active building permit, if not , the city sends an inspector , if they catch someone doing work without a permit, they fine the homeowner and half the fine goes to the trash truck guy that reported it.
