geta load of this... the jumping of the St Lawrence River inspired a movie! The Stunt Driver opens in theaters on September 25.

Previously mentioned last year when it was in development https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2025/10/currently-in-production-stunt-driver.html

The Stunt Driver is set in the mid-70s and recounts the true and incredible underdog story of Canada’s Ken Carter, the world champion stunt driver, who battles personal demons and public doubt to attempt what everyone considers impossible — a mile-long jump across the St. Lawrence River in a rocket-powered car.

  1. This looks like an interesting and fun movie, but it doesn't seem like it will do very well with the general public.

    1. true.... neither did Madison, the movie about the small town Hydroplane racing in 1971... but the cast was really good. Bruce Dern, Jim Caviezel and Jake Lloyd. Madison, Indiana remains unique as the smallest municipality in the world to own and actively field a championship-level unlimited hydroplane. Good movie... I posted about it a long time ago.
