this is why Ford has so many recalls... they don't focus on build quality, they waste effort on stupid shit like water filters. There are already enough water filters in the world, just build a better Ford you morons!

Ford Motor Company has filed a patent for a water filtering hub that may be used in future Ford vehicles... when it's obvious that few if any drivers will ever use such a thing, when obviously they will bring bottled water with them, or stop by any convivence store for bottled water, or simply go to Amazon for their choice of water filter products, sizes, capacities, and price point.

Just consider, how many people's salaries were wasted on this water filter nonsense at Ford... the person that thought it's a good idea, everyone at the meeting to discuss it, the manager to sign off on going ahead with researching the idea for implementation, the paralegal who made the patent application, etc.
