OEM alloys are normally made out of center so tire rfv can be compensated.
Tires coming to car factory have been measured for rfv and marked with a spot.
Tire fitting machine senses the spot on tire and rim.
Steel rims are always eccentric
To check any balancer balance a wheel and tire.
Press button to get 1gm accuracy note position of out of balance on tire .
Rotate wheel 180 degree on balancer shaft
Run machine again read out should be similar to notes on tire.
If more than 5gms different or angular position big difference probably balancer shaft bent.
It would seem over time the shafts warp.
This trick is not well known.
Balance machine normally set to read zero if less than 5gm
Have to press button to get actual.
