Goodyear is closing the Malaysia plant that it's been operating since 1972. Hey, 52 years is a damn good run for one factory.
Goodyear said the decision to shutter the plant is part of its Goodyear Forward corporate restructuring program, aimed at delivering $1 billion in cost reductions by 2025.
