because it's still hard to wrap my head around Plymouth, a brand that never made anything but cars, had their label on this SUV. I still can't figure out why Mopar would go off brand like this

  1. They sold trucks in the late 30's and early 40's too. I think I understand a lot of decisions like this are driven by dealer demand. The dealer network was powerful in making decisions. Mopar's history is littered with circumstances where the dealer's demanded product at expense of brand dilution.
