every now and then, I find it's very frustrating to not have an overactive imagination that can problem solve in creative ways.... like, just checking to see if the rims I want, are in stock, just in another color. Well, I had that epiphany today, 2 months late.

the top was what I wanted.
There are NONE in stock in any company on the continent
the bottom are identical in every way, except paint.

I'm so frustrated I didn't think to look at options to waiting, until today

  1. Hello Jesse, can you really fit 9.5 wide rims on your car? I have do that in my 55 Belair but I have a shorten rear transmission. Regards. Elias

    1. I simply asked a guy who I've posted about, and met, what he has on his. I just ordered exactly what he told me to. They work on his 70 Coronet, they'll work on my 69 Coronet

  3. My son tried to order OEM wheels for a 2012 Dodge Charger. Ote one available from anyone on the planet. A few years ago I bought one from a wrecking yard about 30 miles east of us for $50.00 and he had ton of them. Not one left and his used price was close to the new ones. We're doomed! Then again, maybe I'll call Fred Flintstone and see if he can help us out.

    1. Well, I can see why the easiest place to find them is a junkyard, and why no dealership would waste space storing them in case someone ever wanted to buy one

    2. and they sold them for that much because someone showed up who would pay for them. Suddenly, there was as demand, and they had the supply. I hate when they stick it to the buyer though. Shit, be cool, get some free good publicity when they tell their friends where to get a good deal
