New York City carriage drivers' union hired a horse expert who once worked at the stables at Buckingham Palace.

Tristan Aldrich has decades of experience, and was hired to monitor the horses, promote good practices for the drivers, and report any issues he sees, officials announced during a press conference Monday.

He will work closely with the TWU Local 100 Safety Committee.

  1. Behind all of this is harassment from the mayor of New York City. WHY? He and his predecessor tried to remove these horse drawn rides from Central Park on the premise of maltreatment of the horses. The reality you would only learn if you walked the streets of NYC from 50th Street to 58th Street between ninth and eleventh avenues. Dotted within this prime real estate are the horse stables for these horses. If these mayors could get rid of the horses by playing on the minds of the public at large, then they could reap the profits, a share of course, as the properties were sold as whole city blocks to developers. HMMM! The news that is never reported. MONEY is behind the motivation.
