just finished restoring a Blackhawk 3310 pat. 1926 with the star-13-16-star socket. Been in the family since 1926 and had a lot of rust. I acid washed it and coated it with a clear Rust preventive. It now looks and works as brand new without any pitting and instead of being outside it now is a showpiece in my home.
Nice! great to keep the tools that the family has used for nearly 100 years, ready for another hundred years. Ain't it astonishing that tools were made so damn well that they could be passed down generation after generation, and earn father, son, grandson, and great grandson a living? ! Are you going to restore any other tools? And how did you mount it for the showpiece display? Send photos, or a link!
