I don't recall if I've posted about it before, but there is a town in California, about 30 miles from Long Beach, that puts strict limits on the number of cars on its streets.

Much like Mackinac Island in Lake Michigan, the founders didn't set it up for cars, and they didn't ever get around to feeling they were necessary when everything is within walking distance. 

But, since there are some necessary vehicles... I present the town dump truck! An Isuzu Elf! A very small dump truck

Most everyone gets around with electric golf carts, Mopeds, scooters, and electric bikes.  I suppose there is only a golf cart garage and tire shop. Probably no drive thrus. There are a couple small vehicles, some Suzuki Samurais, a lot of Scion iQs, a couple minis, and a tuk tuk.  

I guess that means there must be a gas station! 

They do rent golf carts there also.

Damn, what a surprising scoop Carbuzz.com got, they found that the R35 Nissan GT-R was mostly engineered by truck experts from Isuzu

80% of the Nissan GT-R’s development team were former employees from Isuzu’s passenger car division. According to the post, the former Isuzu engineers were mainly in charge of transmissions and suspensions, two of the machine’s most celebrated and cutting-edge systems. This sparked discussions about the GT-R’s engineering and potential links to Isuzu's expertise in truck and diesel engines.

Kazutoshi Mizonu, the Chief Engineer for the R35 GT-R, popped into the conversation to clarify things. In a translated tweet, he mentions that the Isuzu engineers started out in that automaker’s truck division, not its passenger car division, and that they were inexperienced when it came to developing supercars. Thanks to teamwork training and determination, each was transformed into a world-class engineer in about 18 months, said Mizonu.
