I was just reminded of WHY it's a very bad idea to allow computers to decide what advertising happens and where, on my blog... because just look at this - a real example from my reading about a Mustang

 

I shit you not (pun intended).... some computer decided to insert this ad for toilet cleaning, into this Ford Authority article on a Mustang.  https://fordauthority.com/2025/07/vaughn-gittin-jr-adds-rare-fox-body-ford-mustang-to-collection-video/#google_vignette

The computer didn't place tires, rims, wax, or parts... nope. Toilet cleaning. 

So, though it's not something you'll notice, while reading along through my blog... there is no advertising like this sort that would happen if I changed the settings to hopefully get some change from clicks on ads. 

I don't like advertising in general, it's tacky and ugly, useless, and distracting. There aren't many blogs that do have ads, because they simply aren't lucrative, in fact... but they sure are ugly, and have zero relevancy to the main topic. 

If I had ads, they would be to hype Monster Truck events, Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival, cool car parts companies like those that pull parts off junkyard cars with exceptionally rare and hard to find things, Cragars, Mickey Thompson tires, autocross tires, paintjobs by exceptional painters, pinstripers and letterers, and lots of the artists that do car related stuff, like gear shifters that Tommy Powell makes (Gear Hedz) https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search/label/Gear%20Hedz%20Shift%20Knobs 

Anyway, back to what I was doing, before this stupid toilet ad sent me off on this rant.
