so there I was, making a run to the post office to pick up my Netflix DVD, and I saw that a lot of construction was happening at the intersection next to In n Out. The construction blocked all the regular ways into this In n Out... and TA DA! No line in the drive through!

See that? They didn't even need the guy to be out there... there was no one waiting in line past the ordering board with the two way speaker!

So, I called my best friend real fast, asked "Want a double double delivered?" and just that fast, had the first double double this month, and probably the last for a while. Plus, helped out the work from home best friend.

So, in times like these, it takes a flu panic AND construction (see the cememtn trucks on the right, in the back, of the picture?  to get into the drive through without a line wrapped around the corner. Last week, I think it was Friday, the last time I drove past, the cars waiting in line were out past the intersection stop light, and 4 cars down around the corner. That had to be an hour in line at best.

This unprecedented empty drive thru had me wanting to tell the local news so the word could get out that a Double Double was less than 5 minutes from arrival at the drive thru, to being eaten!
