Mopar Connection did an indepth look at something intrinsically Mopar, the left hand threads on the drivers side (lots us learned that the hard way) and had something new about the topic I didn't know.

The acorn nuts had 3 hash marks to indicate they were left hand threaded

  1. I've never seen the hash-marked ones. I remember them having a circle on the face of the nut, but those may have been aftermarket replacements?

  2. The "knock off" hubs on wire wheels of English sports cars (and Italian and probably German) were left handed threads on the right side of the car..

  3. News to me that this was only Mopar. My mother's 1950 Dodge was so equipped.
