this Power Wagon Dodge is a pretty uncommon sight around here, and rust free
and it's got the spare tire door on the side of the bed. I remember posting about that a couple months ago, but it was a Ford https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2025/12/f-350-super-camper-special-powered-by.html

way back when horse shoe nails were loose everywhere and repairing a flat happened all the time. The license plate is 1911

It's great that we normally wear the tread right off tires now, without getting a flat.

ever heard of the no jack spare tire? Me neither! Jiffi No Jac Spare Tire, made in 1933
I can see how this would work 100 years ago when cars were light, slow, and had tall skinny tires.
How these worked was the top half was bolted on to the top of the flat tire, then the car was rolled forward a couple feet, and then the other half was bolted on.

did you hear about GM's latest complete screw up at the factory? They put 17inch spares on exactly 626 2019-2021 trucks that had 18, 20, and 22 inch rims. Face palm smack of stupid moves, lack of QC, and fundamental logic award!
2019, 2020 and 2021 model-year Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks that were shipped with the incorrect factory spare tire.

this is cool! I have seen advertising on the spare tires mounted to the back of cars (way back in the 20s) and on top of taxis, and the sides of busses... but this is the first time I've seen a advertising tire cover on the running board spare tire

Looks like a good design idea for giving your front bumper that 5 mph bouncy factor that might save your chrome, headlights, and grill
Might not be sticking out far enough... but I dig the idea

the VW Touareg... one very complete variety of languages on the spare tire for anywhere they sell
Imagine putting that day glo orange rim on this for a spare though... wow, that's going to look terrible.
it's about as bad as the Porsche spare rim http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2015/02/viper-spare-tire-vs-porsche-spare-tire.html maybe a bit worse
hell, it might be the same rim design!
