This belongs to former Art Center head of Transportation Design Stewart Reed, often seen at the Center's annual car show. I met his daughter in Palm Springs at the 2013 Desert Concours while looking at a 1913 Buick. She mentioned she was going to make a website about cars. I wonder if she ever did?

interesting plate, but really, no one could possibly confuse a Type F made 40 years after the Type E stopped production

seen in traffic. I don't recall seeing a license plate without a year tag before. that's a ballsy way to taunt cops to give you a parking ticket

I see this a lot more lately, scrubbing all the paint off a California license plate, but not the stuff that matters, the letters and numbers

 

an Automated Licence Plate Recognition system detected a pickup truck license plate was flagged as driving while under prohibition for defective brakes

During the traffic stop, officers discovered:

- The driver used a permanent marker on their license plates in an attempt to evade law enforcement by imitating a class designation that did not match their vehicle type.

- The MTO recently inspected the vehicle and deemed it unsafe for defective braking system and prohibited it from operating on public roads. Despite this, the driver continued to operate the vehicle

- Almost 2,000 unmarked cigarettes were located and seized.
