"let’s mount a cannon in the trunk, fire it downward, and blast this Impala into the sky like Evel Knievel in a steel coffin" (Hal Needham invented the car flipping canon, and this was it's 1st use) A movie review of McQ, the John Wayne movie with a Trans Am in 1974 Thank you Doug!
I haven't seen that movie in decades, and didn't make the connection when I saw it what a similarity there was between McQ and Bullitt.

fully-caged drift-spec '69 Satellite made from what was a lot of rust around a 318/904/8.25 combo that was tossed into the junkyard and replaced with an LS9, Tremec T56, and BMW E36 front end

skip to 6:94 for better drift video
Hopefully it comes to SEMA

I've never heard of the 1974 Satellite Sundance, but they only made about 300 of them, and they aren't desirable in any way, so it's not any surprise they are forgotten
1974 was a end run year, the Satellite body was only given minor updates mainly for emissions and safety compliance. The series trim level started with Satellite, Satellite Custom, Roadrunner occupied the performance end while Sebring and Sebring Plus took care of the premium trim series.

interesting Mopars at Del Mar Goodguys
believe it or not the above 67 Charger is for sale, with nothing more than a 383 727 and unknown they want 35 k for it. Just a rust free nice Mopar, nothing special, and they think someone will pay 35k

someone built a cool dragstrip 65 Satellite, 440, 727, 8.75 - and sold it to a flipper company who only wants 35k for it. Sweet deal
if that's a bit too much money, they're also selling a 63 Fury, 440, 4 spd
if you need something far more rare and cool, they have a 440 six pack super bee 4spd, might be a real A12, but they haven't claimed that.
but it's a 150k
