When trying for a world record... expect to crash. A lot.
Johannes Fischbach wanted to make the world's longest jump with a mountain bike off a 140-metre ski jump
Some years ago Fischi already made test jumps from an 85 meter ski jump and reached a distance of 50 meters.

Why didn't he have some EMT's at the bottom?
here is a video, skipping the build of the extension to the ski jump, of the practice runs

he's lucky he made it, 8 inches farther from the pool edge and he'd be in the hospital or morgue

This is not a successful landing, but if they practice they are going to nail this manuever, and shows will be cooler than ever!
It's pretty cool that you can see how they engineered the ramp to get the truck to flip, and that they set up a huge landing pad

So you jump your motorcycle onto a building... big deal. Want to impress me? Jump off it... and he did!
Robbie Maddison, who has taken over the informal motorcycle jumping crown that Evel Knievel once held, leaped a world-record 322 feet, seven inches in Las Vegas on New Years Eve.
Thanks Mike!
