original owners of a 66 396 SS Chevelle parked it in the yard in the mid 1980s, at the end of it's daily driver use, and it just sat there for 35 years. Then it was sold, refurbed, and they got to take it to a car show

'70 Mach 1, with a 428 CJ and a Hurst rowed 4 spd, 50k miles, spent 46 years stored in a barn until the guy finally convinced the widow to sell it, and pull a wall off her barn to get it out the "easy" way instead of moving the car collection anchored in front of it preventing thieves from stealing it

Pam held onto it after her husband Phil passed away. Phil and Pam weren't the original owners, but they took care of the car through the 1970s and eventually parked it in the barn somewhere in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Last driven in 1976-79, but without really adding any miles since the1976 inspection

We're going to fix it up someday translates to it's sat there for decades, we forgot about it until you mentioned it, we;ve been hoping to win the lotto, and oh, it's not for sale, we figured we watch it get covered by a flood that would require us trading it to the AC guy for a new AC system.

stored in a South Carolina barn for 44 years because the owner was fed up with people asking to buy this '59 Corvette fuelie. To spite them, he never drove it again, and died. Stupid? Yes.

The '59 has both tops, a Wonderbar radio, and came from the factory in St. Louis with the 290-horse fuel-injected 283.  The original engine was stored in a different barn on the 60 acre farm

Not just stored, but walled in so no one could see it either, and they peeled off the plywood (on the right side of the photo) from the H shaped framing, to get a photo of the as found condition.

Those are either 3 inch exhaust pipes, or ugly as hell tips

a 75 Bronco with a 302, that has stayed in place since 1992, long enough to sink until the axles hit the ground.. because, you know, he's "going to fix it up someday"

I bet what ends up happening is that someone in his family gets to where they need hospital care, and then he sells it. Never realizing what fun it would have been to drive it, for the past 28 years, instead of setting up cameras to keep away thieves. 

Her son died in 2006, and she's had his 88 Mustang GT sitting in the driveway for 13 years, without the keys. She doesn't have a car of her own to drive, relying on friends for rides... so finally it was heard of by a local shop who traded doing work on it for using it to make videos on how to fix Mustangs

Shelby GT350H that was left out in an Ohio back yard for 40 years to rust away might just have been saved in time. Jerry Heasley finds another cool barnfind, and gets the car pulled out of decades of neglect, on camera.

in the video, around the 7 minute mark, we learn that the original owner bought spare parts and stuffed them over the beams in the garage

Dick Harrell COPO 427 Camaro finally gets out of the garage... after 40 years of storage. The only 4 speed Harrell ever built... spent 90% of it's life so far in a garage not being used

and the kicker? The old guy who was "going to restore it someday"? Inherited it when his brother died in 1977. He just made a fortune for storing it for decades, darn shame he didn't enjoy driving it.

It amazes me to hear the owner say some nonsense like "I wasn't going to be able to finish it the fashion that I wanted to" when you can see that he's done zero with it in 40 years. That's a clear confusion on his part. When you haven't ever started, you're full of shit to say you aren't going to be able to finish it.

What's wrong with being honest and saying - I was too broke to buy parts or pay for a paint job, so I held onto it until I was offered the right price by a collector who is simply going to profit off it.

1967 Shelby GT 350, bought in 1979 for $4k, used as a daily driver for a few years, then taken apart about 15 years ago... and then the owner became to ill to carry on the restoration he'd planned

So, his wife decided it needed a new home, and the buyer invited Jerry Heasley along for the reveal of a Shelby that hadn't even been seen by the owner's wife in 5 years.

when they know what they've got and in order for you to buy it, you have to buy the entire estate... that's a bugger. But it's worth it when it's an original-owner 1956 Corvette, 1 of 111 with factory installed dual carbed 265 with the Duntov special high-lift cam is suddenly on the market for the first time

“I had to buy the whole estate to get the car,” Bob Kunz said. Kunz, who is famous for rebuilding carburetors says he “got a pile of paperwork” with the Vette to document Chevrolet’s famous option code “449” of 1956. “I’ve got the order sheet, invoice, title and warranty paperwork.”

Chevrolet introduced option #449 “for racing purposes only,” it was the Duntov special high-lift cam that raised output to 240 horsepower.

Kunz got a call one day from a fellow Chevy friend Dennis Roth about a ’56 Corvette that was going to be for sale, but the estate was legally one unit, and the court said the home had to be sold with the two cars and all the misc things.”  The house was worth about $7,000, he offered 100k and it was all his.

The whole house and basement were full of stuff, like old Hot Rod magazines he hadn’t even opened from the 1940s, a McCullough supercharger, and antiques

The other car was a 1947 Crosley body on a channeled Ford Model A frame fitted with a flathead Cadillac V-8.

The Vette even still has the original spare
