tv series, Dark Winds takes place in 1971, and has some very cool late 60s vehicles.
Because it's a tv series, with limited budget, they didn't go for accuracy, or authenticity in the right vehicles - but they sure did choose some cool vehicles

at age 14, Victoria got a Jeep Wagoneer Limited to fix up, and by her 17th birthday, had it fixed and painted!
"She had no clue. When she asked what that was sitting in the driveway I said, 'That's your new Jeep!' She didn't really say much, not for a while," her dad recalled.
Lol, she thought dad was going to hook her up with a newer stylish Wrangler
Mann figures he's got $10,000 invested in the 40-year-old Wagoneer. He said it drives smooth and "will go straight down the road smooth at 80 miles an hour."
Victoria got her driver's license and has been proudly driving her Jeep for about a year. At 17, her opinion of the relic has shifted since the day she first saw it.
"My friends think it's awesome, and they can hear me coming because they know the sound it makes," she said, describing the loud V8 roar.

It's not uncommon to come across one of these Jeep Wagoneers, but, I've never noticed these locking hubs before, on anything. They are named Dualmatic!
Very cool to see this old camera on the dash
Here's how the Dualmatic works (thank you Steve! https://robwolfe10.tripod.com/dualmatic_hubs.htm )
here's a page about them getting restored https://www.cj3apage.com/index/My_1950/restoring_dualmatic_hubs.htm

for a good old fashioned simple weekend afternoon movie, with no new cars, just pre 1964 vehicles, with Rock Hudson directed by Howard Hawks, on Amazon Prime Video
I sure didn't expect to see an NSU Prinz in a Hollywood movie
the character Rock Hudson is playing works for Abercrombie and Fitch, back when it was a sporting goods store, and maybe it was paid product placement, but the 63 Jeep Wagoneer was a good choice
Fully loaded with all the neat camping stuff that 1963 could supply, all the classic good stuff
the AFC on the door is for Abercrombie and Fitch Company
the previous Honda 105, and a Honda Monkey

Ever heard of the Press On Regardless Rally? At one time, part of the FIA, and George Henderson won it in 1972 in a Jeep Wagoneer
they put four-wheel-drive at the top of the podium for the first time ever in a professional rally.
In the early ‘60s, Henderson had already got sponsored rides, including driving for Mercedes-Benz. He even went along to navigate with Scott Harvey when he took the factory Plymouth rally team to Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, where the duo finished third in their class.
n 1974, On Halloween eve 1974, with the kids of the town out trick or treating, one of the Lancia Stratos did a massive burnout on the main drag of the town of Felch and hauls through town, which caught the attention of the Sheriff of Dickinson County ,” Layton says. “The sheriff went to the next stage of the rally, set up a roadblock, and asked all of the teams to leave his county.” As a result, a majority of the stages had to be scratched
do you remember when polish jokes were all the rage, I think they were brought on by All In The Family's main character Archie Bunker
