An Orange County man has been reunited with the 69 Camaro he inherited from his dad, that was stolen from a body shop back in 2009. His dad bought it the day he got back from Nam, and gave it to his son on his 16th birthday
the car was found in the backyard of a Whittier home, picked apart and non-operational, missing some tires, bumpers, lights, the passenger's side door, and all of its windows, by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators.
"I haven't seen this car in 17 years." said Victor, who said that he had given up all hope of ever seeing his car again
He's also started an Instagram account, @vics69camaro, to detail the rebuilding process, and started a GoFundMe

20 some years ago, this 69 Camaro (likely a real Z 28 based on parts) was bought, to give to a grandson. But the kid and grand dad realized it's better to sell it to someone with 50k or more to spend on restoring it, and use the sales money for college
The teen was going to inherit the car, but he didn’t show much interest in it, so a reasonable decision was made. Instead of letting the classic pony sit and collect barn dust and years, it’s now going to a new home

Chevys at the Optima Challenge Tuesday morning
I haven't seen this Z 28 for a couple of years, but have photographed it at the Optima Challenge before... cool car
If you look at this, and guess - Nova? Chevy II? Just like I did, that would be close, but wrong. It's close though, it's an Acadian Invader, I shit you not. Here one is selling on BAT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-pontiac-acadian-invader for 12.5k
I knew at first glance that my initial guess of Nova was close, but not exactly right, so I guessed Chevy II... knowing there's something a tiny bit strange with that grill lower section that rests on the bumper. Or, is it a upper piece of bumper, something like a push bar? Anyway, that's the clue it's the Acadian Invader. Thank you Chuck for pointing me toward the Beaumont direction
it's surprising to see how much a Vette gets modified when (from what I've seen at the Optima Challenge) they don't get worked much harder than any regular street car does... VW bugs and a Toyota Yaris have been in the competition... it's not the Le Mans, not that much top speed stuff happens in the slalom or speed stop challenge
I just watched a race at Laguna Seca, speeds didn't top 125. Too many turns drop the speed to around 60

All it needed was a trans rebuild, and for life to ease up on the marriage and kids type stuff... and then Tim took the ol Z 28 for a spin. It's not a barnfind... Tim just didn't forget where he put it... he simply was too dang busy with other priorities to get it fixed until 2020
and then it was washed off
then they fired it up
put the hood back on, and took it for a cruise

Bewitched, Season 5 Episode 26... Samantha haunts a rich guy to get a meeting to raise money for UNICEF (thanks Mike!)
the video clip is on Instagram, but not You Tube, so I can't embed it. The blog framework is set up to accept videos from You Tube, that's about it. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJ78Lipv5Vo/

Jamie Lee Curtis has a new movie coming out... Freaky Friday III.... and she's driving a sweet Camaro
Obviously, the movie people didn't bother digitally erasing the rollbar only used on the one Camaro crashed after a jump
