Mike wants to know if anyone can ID this dashboard, it's 40" wide
Found in Maine, near the city of Presque Isle, and that is a LONG way from anywhere else, nearly on the northern Eastern most corner of the state, and the country!
Not all that extreme....They have a Walmart. I used to live North of PI, lots of old steel up there, used to be a GREAT junkyard in Limestone until the owners kids scrapped it about 15 years or so ago....I could go on.........
PI = local lingo for Presque Isle. Yea its the last town before crossing the border into Canukiestan. Be careful, if you spit out the window while driving by you might mis it.
Ummm........Presque Isle.......you're better than that Jesse.........Unsure what Canada was producing for vehicles at that time but it may be worth a look......Meanwhile, this July 15-18 marks possibly the last use of the former Loring AFB runway for land speed racing since the arch hanger/tower/etc has been purchased and is being used by Aero Intelligence to refit large aircraft......and has become very active filling that space..........as you enter Caribou, stop in at Sleepers on the left after the 1st light.........it's been there forever and you can get anything from food to groceries to unstable beverages there.....Bear right leaving Caribou (25 minutes North of PI on Rt 1) to roll up to Loring in Limestone, ME about 10 minutes North........Catch some land speed action, possibly the last event held there!! (Loringtiming.com) Maybe I'll see ya there! Come on up Jesse, I'll pick you up at PEI airport. ;-)
I'm just a car guy, not a geography abbreviation guy! I'm not better than that, I had no idea you were talking about Presque Isle, and that wasn't hinted at by context. You stated where you were born, and then the abbreviation PI... I've been all over the planet, and the people I work with and communicate with online, are from all over the planet, you might have been discussing any place at all. Instead of assuming, I asked. That's the smart thing to do.
Thanks for the help Jesse.
ReplyDeletesure thing Mike!

ReplyDeleteWhat is PI? RI is Rhode Island, PEI is Prince Edward Island, but the only PI I know is the Philippine Islands
