In the years after WWII. one could buy a JEEP kit, everything included, for $300.00. They were Army surplus. Some items would need to be added, such as a heater and a fabric top.
those were the good days of Army Surplus. Hell, you could buy a bomber, fighter plane, deuce and a half, quonset huts, god knows what else, or what the most amazing thing was that was easily available through surplus sales.
